Unit sizes are huge, a standard Milita has 300 units, so battles are much more epic than vanilla, sound effects are also much better you can hear drummers, smoke looks much better, gun shots in general sound cooler.ĭefinatly download this mod, you can always disable/unistall it if you don't like it.Please register for Total War Access to use the forums. I just started playing yesterday but I already like it way more then Splendour and Vanilla ofcourse.
My favorite is the artillery factor, you can increase the range of artillery up to 2x, which makes it much more realistic. There is a Mod manager page you can bring up that lets you change settings for you campaign, you can turn grenades on/off, fortresses off, battle map sizes, turns per year, special graphics effects, 40unit type (which allows up to 40 units in a battle EPIC), lots of other settings.
It took me nearly 10 minutes to install, it's pretty lengthy.Īs for the Mod itself it's very easy to use. It's really simple to install, it's litteraly an executable that you click next a few times and you're done. I downloaded the torrent version of Darthmod the other day, it has both part 1 and part 2 included so it's nearly 3 gigs in size, not a small download. Darth mod is arguably the best mod for Empire out there I tried out Imperial Splendour for a while but got tired of the AI problems, and rediculous unit costs/upkeep.
